John Blank holds a law degree from Oxford University and was admitted as a solicitor in 1971. His main areas of interest are employment, family, property and commercial law. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

He regularly advises employers and employees on employment contracts, employment procedures and on bringing and defending claims following termination of employment.

He has represented clients in employment tribunals in cases involving unfair dismissal, redundancy, sex, race and disability discrimination, termination of employment and TUPE transfers. He acted for a corporate client in major litigation following the termination of a nationwide franchise agreement where 44 claims were successfully defended in 5 different employment tribunals.

John lectures on employment law topics and has devised and conducted case studies and workshops on recruitment and selection, employment contracts and constructive dismissal.
